Jacksonville, FL (Sports Network) - The Jacksonville Jaguars place guard Vince Manuwai on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.
Manuwai suffered a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee during the Jaguars' 17-10 loss to Tennessee Sunday.
Manuwai, who has started 78 of his 79 career games, is just the latest casualty of the Jacksonville offensive line. Center Brad Meester is out with a biceps injury, guard Mo Williams suffered a shoulder injury and may or may not be placed on injured reserve, and tackle Richard Collier was shot last week and is in critical condition.
To help fortify the offensive line, Jacksonville signed free agent offensive linemen Milford Brown and Chad Slaughter.
Brown, 28, signed with Carolina as an unrestricted free agent in March but was released in final cuts on August 30. The 6-5, 330-pound guard has started 43 of his 48 career games while playing with Houston, Arizona and St. Louis.
Slaughter, 30, signed with Baltimore on July 31 but was also released during the final cutdown. The 6-8, 340-pound offensive tackle spent five seasons with the Oakland Raiders (2001-06) after spending his rookie season in 2000 with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets. All of his 43 career games and seven starts were in Oakland.
The Jags also waived rookie cornerback Isaiah Gardner and waived offensive tackle Cliff Louis from the practice squad.
