Tennessee Titans QB Matt Hasselbeck Told Kenny Britt To Run Slower
Matt Hasselbeck was Mike Florio's guest on PFT LIve today, and it's pretty good stuff. My favorite part was Hasselbeck talking about Kenny Britt's physical gifts. Apparently, without trying, Britt was beating his fellow WRs down the field who were supposed to be running clear-out routes so Britt could break towards the middle of the field underneath them. Palmer and Hasselbeck had to actually tell Britt to run slower.
Just goes to show: you can't coach speed.
The video is after the jump, and even though it requires listening to Mike Florio, it's still worth taking that hit.

A Quick Twitter Interview with Titans Rookie LB Colin McCarthy
Tennessee Titans rookie LB Colin McCarthy mentioned on Twitter earlier today that he would answer a few questions if anyone had any for him. He was nice enough to answer three of the questions that I asked him.
McCarthy is another guy that I am really excited about from this draft. He is a big LB that, as he mentions in one of his answers, can play all three linebacker positions. Jerry Gray said he wanted versatility, and he got that in McCarthy.
My questions and his answers after the jump.
Music City Miracles Interviews OT Byron Stingily
I had the pleasure of asking Tennessee Titans fifth round draft pick, offensive tackle Byron Stingily some questions. A huge thanks to Byron for doing this! Here we go...
What were you feeling when you were drafted by the Titans? What was going through your head?
It's a feeling I cant even explain. It was the most stressed out I've ever been. When I got the call, it felt like the biggest weight off my shoulders.
What can you tell Titans fans who might not be familiar with you about yourself?
I'm a physical player that likes to make holes for my running back. Also, I'm new to the game and have a lot to learn.
What inspired you to play on the offensive line?
I always played on the D-line and thought I was pretty good at it until my junior college coach told me I would be a better O-line man. It's worked out since.

Jason Babin Talks to MCM About Jeff Fisher's Firing
Jason Babin is awesome. I had his email from an earlier attempt to do an interview that never really worked out, so tonight when I heard the news about Jeff Fisher I shot him an email asking if he would do an interview. I didn't expect him to respond since he is Hawaii for the Pro Bowl, but he sent me an email telling me to call him. He had just gotten back from a tour of the USS Chung-Hoon.
Where were you when you heard the news?

Music City Miracles Interviews Tennessee Titans Linebacker Rennie Curran
I had the opportunity to ask Tennessee Titans third round pick, linebacker Rennie Curran some questions. A big thanks to Rennie! Here we go...
MCM:What were your feelings like when you were drafted by the Titans? What was going through your head?
RC: There is no way to describe the feeling. Pure joy and excitement on top of the feeling of being in a dream. The best part was seeing how happy and proud my family was.
How was your rookie mini-camp?
Rookie camp was a great experience. I got my first taste of what it will be like as a professional player. The coaches let us know what they expected from us. The practices and workouts gave us a good opportunity to start learning the system.
What inspired you to play linebacker?
I actually played running back growing up and hated playing linebacker. Once I got to high school I got switched to linebacker and hated it at first, but it grew on me and now I love it.
You had quite the childhood. Can you tell us an overview?
I am the youngest of three with two older sisters. My family is from Liberia and came here in the 80s. I was born and grew up in Atlanta and moved to Gwinnett County when I was 10, which is when I started playing football. I had a great little league coach that was like a second father. Our record from seven year olds till seventh grade was 61-6. He took me to my first Georgia game, and really helped me to develop into the player I am today. Tried almost every sport growing up, but none of them came close to football. I also started playing the piano at eight, drums around eleven, and viola at at thirteen.

Music City Miracles Interviews Tennessee Titans Cornerback Alterraun Verner
I had the pleasure of asking Tennessee Titans fourth round draft pick, cornerback Alterraun Verner some questions. A huge thanks to Alterraun for doing this! Let's start...
MCM: What were your feelings like when you were drafted by the Titans? What was going through your head?
AV: I was super excited when i got drafted by the Titans. I knew it was a possibility, but to have it happen was just so surreal. They are a great organization and I was truly blessed. A lot of things were going through my head, but the main thing was that I made it. Finally!!!
Rookie mini camp was fun. Getting to know the other rookies and seeing the facilities was sweet. Just going into the locker room and seeing the practice jersey with my name on it was such a treat. Meeting some of the veterans was great too. The coaches were wonderful, as wonderful as a coach can be. They were very patient with us and really eased us in. That might change when training camp hits.
They taught us a little different terminology for defensive calls, but nothing too much. It is relatively the same as what we did at UCLA.
Music City Miracles Interviews Tennessee Titans Linebacker Keith Bulluck
I had the pleasure of asking Tennessee Titans linebacker (and MCM reader) Keith Bulluck some questions. A huge thanks to Keith for doing this! Let's start...
How is your knee rehab coming this offseason?
My rehab is coming along well, on schedule to start opening day for someone's team. The hardest part was after surgery when I couldn't do things on my own, but Nurse Betty took great care of me.
How much more do you think you still have left in the tank for the future?
I don't like to put limits on things especially my career, so I'm gonna just let it play out. The way I was playing before the injury may give you a slight indication of how much I have left in the tank.
What do you think of next year's Titans defense?
I honestly don't think anything of next year's Titans defense. I'm not on their roster right now so it doesn't concern me.
Do you expect an improvement?
If I'm not playing with the Titans next year I hope the defense does improves, they have some players. I know those guys want to win and work hard everyday.
