Keith Bulluck All Over ESPN Today
Keith Bulluck is spending the day in Bristol today and making appearances on numerous ESPN TV and radio shows.
Bulluck is scheduled to appear on ESPN's NFL Live and Hot List on ESPNews, in addition to taping a segment for ESPN2's First Take. He'll also appear live on ESPN Radio's The Herd with Colin Cowherd and The Tirico & Van Pelt Show while also taping a radio segment for The Pulse with Doug Gottlieb Show to be aired later Wednesday. He'll also sit through hours of prep work and meetings.
I am glad that Bulluck is taking the opportunity to do this. He is one of the most underrated players in the NFL. Doing the rounds today should help him and the Titans get some of the media attention they deserve coming off a playoff season. Now all the Titans have to do is come out of the gates hot to keep a place in the national spotlight.

Tennessee Titans Friday Practice Report
Jim Wyatt has posted another practice report on his blog. The higlights:
--Rookie defensive end William Hayes got noticed for good reasons and bad. Hayes stripped Young of the football on a good pass rush up the middle, but had to hear it from Coach Jeff Fisher, who scolded him for being a little too aggressive."Don't touch the quarterback, William,'' Fisher said. "Don't touch the quarterback.''
I like it that he is getting noticed and making plays. That aggression will payoff when it matters.
--Defensive tackle Antonio Johnson continues to stand out in practices. He busted through the line on one play and stopped rookie running back Chris Johnson cold.
It sounds like he is going to be a solid guy in that defensive tackle rotation. The Titans could end up having a dang good D line next season.
--I've been skeptical about receiver Mike Williams, but the guy continues to make plays in practices. Williams extended his arms and made a great catch on a ball thrown by Kerry Collins on one play, then went up high to catch another at the goal line.
There is the Mike Williams update August was asking for.
--Receiver Biren Ealy made a highlight-film catch for a touchdown, catching the ball just off the ground. It was close. Linebacker Keith Bulluck wasn't convinced.
"Great catch, but they might have to review that one,'' Bulluck said.
Ealy is going to contribute this season. Great article about him from Wyatt here.
--Johnson continues to show some nifty running ability. He squirted through the hole on one handoff, and outraced would-be tacklers. He also made a nice catch on a ball thrown by quarterback Ingle Martin.
He too shall contribute.

Grading the 2000 Tennessee Titans Draft
I will always refer to this as the Keith Bulluck draft.
Round 1 Pick #30- Keith Bulluck, LB, Syracuse
I have not looked at any other #30 picks to back up this next statement, but Keith Bulluck is the best #30 pick in the history of the draft.
Grade: A+
Round 3 Pick #68- Erron Kinney, TE, Florida
This was another really good pick. Kinney wasn't a deep threat, but he had solid hands and was an excellent blocker. It is too bad that his career was cut short by a knee injury.
Grade: A
Round 3 Pick #93- Byron Frisch, DE, BYU
Frisch never played for the Titans, but he did see some time with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. You need more than that from a 3rd round pick.
Grade: F
Round 4 Pick #124- Bobby Myers, S, Wisconsin
Myers lasted 2 seasons with the Titans and started 2 games. He did make some contributions on special teams.
Grade: C-
Round 4 Pick #128- Peter Sirmon, LB, Oregon
Sirmon was a great pick at the end of the 4th round. He started 53 games for the Titans and was always known as one of the smartest guys on the field.
Grade: A
Round 5 Pick #135- Aric Morris, S, Michigan State
I honestly did not remember Morris, but he started 10 games for the Titans in 2001. He moved on from the Titans to join the New England Patriots in 2003.
Grade: B
Round 5 Pick #160- Frank Chamberlin, LB, Boston College
Chamberlin is another guy who never did a lot but made some solid contributions. He also played for the Bengals and the Texans.
Grade: C+
Round 6 Pick #197- Robaire Smith, DE, Michigan State
Robaire is the best 197th pick in the history of the draft. He was a solid defensive tackle here before moving on to the Texans, coming back here, and currently playing with the Browns.
Grade: A+
Round 7 Pick #213- Mike Green, RB, Houston
Green hung around for a few years and added depth to the roster.
Grade: B
Round 7 Pick #237- Wes Shivers, G, Mississippi St.
Shivers was cut by the Titans and picked up by the Falcons in 2000. That was his only season in the league.
Grade: D
This is the best draft of the ones we have looked at so far.
Overall Grade: A

Tennessee Titans News 5.24.08
Before last season Titans defensive coordiantor Jim Schwartz offered a reward to anyone who was able to play at least 90% of the defensive snaps. On Friday he made good on his promise by giving Kyle Vanden Bosch, Keith Bulluck and Cortland Finnegan sledgehammers painted in Titan colors I love what Keith Bulluck said about it:
“This is pretty cool,” Bulluck said. “I just hope I can get another four or five of these with 90 percent snaps. It’s cool coach Schwartz did this, I’ll keep it here until I am no longer at this locker.”
I hope Bulluck is here and playing well enough to get four or five more of those as well.
Lavelle Hawkins and Craig Stevens got their first work with the team yesterday because they were later finishing up their exams. Hawkins apparently looked good in his first work putting a move on Michael Griffin to haul in a touchdown pass.
Paul Kuharsky's practice notes from yesterday.

Happy Mother's Day from MCM
I hope everyone has gotten to spend some good time with their mom today. There was a great story about Keith Bulluck's childhood in yesterday's USA Today. Bulluck lived with a friend's family from the time he was 12 through high school. The article talks about the resentment Bulluck felt for his mother, and how he channeled that frustration into football. Bulluck has since reconciled with his mother.
"Anyone who knows my mom know she isn't a bad person," he said. "She just came up in bad times.
"You can't hold a grudge. If you hold a grudge your whole life, you're not going to move forward. I already didn't know my dad, so I felt it was important."
Bulluck hasn't forgotten what he went through. He started a foundation called Believe and Achieve that works with foster kids to help them transition from foster care to adulthood.
We hear so many negative things about athletes these days so I wanted to take some time, especially on this holiday, to point out something positive a member of the Titans is doing in the world.
