Mike Mularkey and Terry Robiskie have made their decision on a coach for the wide receivers. It’s Frisman Jackson.
Jackson was serving as Temple’s passing game coordinator along with receivers coach. Offensive coordinator Terry Robiskie actually coached Jackson as a Cleveland Brown.
Aukerman will fill an assistant coach role on special teams — a unit that could use the help.
For Jackson, he will be tasked with developing receivers that can maximize Marcus Mariota’s talents. Outside of Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe, there won’t be much left on the depth chart. He’s likely going to have input on who the Titans add this season. He’s also likely going to inherit a couple of rookie receivers.
Hopefully for the Titans, they’ve finally found an answer at the receivers coach position. It’s been a revolving door, but this will truly be his group to mold. Jackson is getting a clean start here. Let’s see what he can do.
