The Titans have gotten their roster down to 75 players with about 5 hours to spare before the NFL mandated deadline of 3 PM central this afternoon. Most recently the team announced that they placed Andrew Turzilli and Yannik Cudjoe-Virgil to IR.
There weren't really any surprises in the first round of cuts. There is a lot of speculation that Andy Levitre will be cut, and if he is, I wouldn't have been surprised to see him go in this first round. A lot of times teams will do that for veterans to give them time to catch on with another team. Levitre making it through this round doesn't make him safe, however.
Again, for all of the players that were let go in this first round of moves check out our cut tracker here. The Titans will play the Vikings on Thursday night at Nissan Stadium. After that game they will have until 3 PM on Saturday to get the roster down to 53 players. Stay tuned for my latest roster projection that will post at noon central.
