The Future in the Backfield for the Titans

The Tennessee Titans added talent in the backfield following the departure of long starting running back Chris Johnson. With the veteran Shonn Greene now considered the every down back, the Titans have found his successor, when the time comes. Bishop Sankey

The Titans drafted Taylor Lewan with the eleventh overall pick to further improve an offensive line that has been disappointing for five years now. But, the Titans looked to the running back out of Washington in the second round.

Bishop Sankey was a two year starter at Washington where he rused for 3,309 yards and 36 touchdowns in those two years. Sankey became the go to guy for the Huskies in his junior year where he carried the ball 327 times.

Sankey is just the type of back the Titans could really use, standing at 5'10" and 208 pounds with a 40-yard dash time of 4.49. The physicality of Sankey combined with his ability to hit the hole and burst could prove to be what the Titans really need in certain situations with Shonn Greene being more of a power back with less speed than Sankey.

Bleacher Report believes that Sankey could very easily thrive in his young career. Check out the article here:
