I have been reading through many of the stories, threads, and fan posts the last few weeks because, like all of you, I am bored during the offseason. I noticed a trend in the comments and posts that quite a few people would be happy with selecting Anthony Barr or Teddy Bridgewater with our first round selection. I completely understand the selection of Barr, as he would add something we really need. The sentiment for Bridgewater is puzzling
All the hype surrounding Bridgewater pretty much died down after the combine and especially after his sub par pro day showing. I have watched some of his game film from last year and the year before and nothing really screams slam dunk to me. He actually reminds me a lot of Vince Young and Terrelle Pryor. I just don't see much separation between him, Carr, Bortles, and Manziel. I understand we all want some kind of backup plan in case Locker can't stay healthy, but I don't know if we really want this guy to be it.
What do you all think?
