Ill start this out by saying the titans need to re-sign Pollard for sure. We need to see what Verners price tag will be, there are too many times that a CB has had a monster year then just fell off so I would not want to over invest in him. After hearing CJ say he isn't willing to renegotiate his contract I am a little disappointed by this....he could restructure to help the team however since he won't it's time to part ways. Though for all the people who are down on CJ I'll say most people just get stuck in the fantasy mind set and don't see the reality of the RB situation in the nfl...Johnson has been one of the most durable backs in the nfl, and run for 1000+ yards over six years....these numbers are not bad at all in fact they are pretty spectacular considering the o-line issues and the fact he was used differently with Munchak than he was with Fisher. At any rate enough about CJ, now to the o-line.....I think dropping Stewart would make sense for cap reasons....and in doing this we either resign at a discount or target Eugene Monroe or Branden Albert if the price is right...sounds expensive but we are willing to make moves and this would be a wise one. I think in the draft we could make a move for Clowney however I don't think this would be the right move....I am really thinking moving down and getting a third rd pick back would be a wise move as we need a lot of pieces and our defense was looking far better last year. Take Kony Ealy or look at Dee Ford in the second. Another thought is we could try for Michael Johnson in free agency, however I don't think we have the money to make too many splashes this year in Free agency...to me drafting a pass rusher is the smarter move and I'm pretty sold on Dee Ford, he looks to be one of those semi-under the radar players who could move up boards fast depending on the combine. I would also like to see the titans resign Damien Williams, I really think we can get him at a low cost and hopefully get him in the game plan more since our cancer (Britt) will be gone. Now since above I have us dropping CJ yes I do believe we draft a RB however I think if we can get him on the cheap I think it would be a great move to offer a 1-2 year deal to Darren McFadden, I know your saying he is injury prone......but my argument is this the conditioning program in Oakland is the problem...their whole team is always hurt...thus get him on a team whose injury history is minimal and I think we may see him turn a corner. It would be worth the risk, his upside was amazing and we have built a line for a power back, at least our interior. It's minimal risk if you do incentive based contract. We need to lock Jurell Casey long term.....nothing else needs to be said. Adding to that if Wisenhunt thinks he is able to get Locker over the hump we could try to restructure his contract so it doesn't hurt our cap number so much.
