I have seen a lot of talk around here recently about drafting another tackle in the 1-2 rounds to deal with the quickly fading David Stewart. The talk is merited, don't get me wrong, but whats wrong with drafting a tackle in the mid-rounds and handing the RT spot to Stingily?
When we picked him up late in the draft two years ago, there was mild excitement (as much excitement as you can have for a 6th round pick) over his size (6'5 315) and athleticism. We said, "give him time and Munch can develop him!" Well he's had time and he's been good when called upon. He graded out positively this year (PFF) and was the only good thing to come from the atrocity in GB last year.
Munch/Matthews groomed him, he's got the size, and he performed well when on the field. Lets give him a chance.
What do you say?
