Early look at defensive free agents....

There are several positions where our team could be upgraded. Most notably on defense, where the hiring of Horton has switched us to more of a hybrid defense.

Terrence Cody (6'4, 349 lbs) -- the signing of Cody could allow Casey to slide out to a 3-4 defensive end position. Cody is a solid NT that would help anchor the big bodies on our line.

Brian Orakpo (6,4, 260 lbs) --probably just wishful thinking here. But would be nice to have a legit pass rushing threat on every down to pair with either Ayers or a rookie.

Jason Worilds

Shaun Phillips

Calvin Pace

Brandon Spikes (6'2, 250 lbs) --could fill a pretty pressing need at ILB. Solid, aggressive tackler with experience in a hybrid scheme.

Karlos Dansby

Donald Butler

Vinnie Rey

Perry RIley

Bernard Pollard (6'1, 225 lbs)-- pretty familiar name here. I'd like us to atleast resign pollard. It would be nice to retain ATV also, but I'm not sure that it happens. Pollard was the emotional leader of this defense and helped our secondary to gel.
