Within the past week, the Titans franchise has done an awesome job of giving new hope to a consistently mediocre team. The hirings of Whiz and Horton are getting the fans here at MCM excited about our team again. This is a start of a new era for the Titans. They are breaking away from the Fisher roots. Also, there are likely to be many cuts in the offseason that may include CJ1K. The Titans also have an opportunity to draft a playmaker and game changer in May. With all the new changes happening, what better way is there to start a new era than with a complete makeover... new uniforms and logos!
Since moving to Tennessee, the Titans have had the same logo for over ten years. It is constantly made fun of and the organization is labelled the Flaming Thumbtacks. Just imagine a totally revamped team on the field next year showing off a newly designed logo and jersey. This organization has one of the best alternate logos in the league...why not use that more.
A new look and fresh start gets the whole city excited. Just look at Miami this year. They brought in new players and a redesigned uniform. The city rallied behind the team and a new hope was found. Without all of the distractions in the locker room, who knows what Miami could have done. Now, I am not saying that Miami is the perfect franchise that the Titans should try to model themselves after, but they are a good example of trying to turn the corner on the past and begin a new era.
The possibilities are endless with this Titans team and the potential and upside are all there. With a redesigned look along with the new additions to the coaching staff, the fans will rally around the team. There is no better way to really show that the front office is committed to changing the attitude.
