The Tennessean now wants Fans to pay for their lousy coverage of the Titans

I have read the Tennessean's coverage of the Titans since 1997 and enjoyed it for many years. I will confess I even went as far as cutting out articles and scrap booking them. (Not very manly but was a lot of fun)

As the years have gone by the sports page got smaller and smaller, at times I would have to buy two copies of the paper because the one I got had smears and blank spaces. I went on like this until two years ago when The Tennessean cut their Sports Staff in half and that was the last straw, I called and cancelled my subscription. When asked why I was leaving after so many years I informed the nice lady, "Why would I pay for sports coverage when I could read it on-line for free.

Well not any longer. The week begins with The Tennessean firing my favorite writer John Glennon and ends with "I can't read the articles about the game last night " unless I subscribe.

Someone should inform The Tennessean that this is the 21 Century where news is available with every click of the mouse and Pay Sites will go the way of the Washington Post.
