This is a follow up to Mr. Morris' post about ATV potentially moving to safety. I don't think this happens. But we could be thanking the New England Patriots for once. They used a literally identical version of our best corner as a free safety in 2012 and it worked out well for them.
Probably not this year but possibly 2014 we could be looking at Tommy Soup and Bleedy Ray as the starting corners, ATV and Coty S in nickel, then JMcC, Griffin, and Wilson/Pollard/Other penciled in as our safeties.
Don't the "experts" say you need 3 quality corners to be successful in the modern NFL? If BWW develops and Tommy lives up to the hype that would give us at least 3 solid corners, 1 amazing safety, 1 overpaid medium-skill safety, and 1 depth guy.
