Last night was a sad night, and one that marks a turning point in this franchise's history. It was the end of an era, one that seemed to come and go too fast. One that started with so much promise, so much hope, so much dinosaur like wonder, only to end in a fumble to lose the game. Rusty had a shot to go out on the shoulders of his teammates, ala Rudy, but alas, it was not meant to be. I've written a haiku to commemorate Rusty's starting career.
Here it is:
MCM pumped up
You threw three picks to Glover
Dreams now back to earth
I'd like anyone reading this to stop right now and just take a moment of silence now for Rusty, for the lives Rusty touched, and just anything else he might have done. I bid you adieu sweet Rusty and I wish you the best. Please leave your favorite Rusty moments in the comments, I hardly have the heart to do the links after witnessing the end, but the show must go on.
Damion Stafford has been so under the radar that Paul Kuharsky thought he went undrafted. Check out PK's thoughts from last night's game.
I missed the first quarter and would like to know how Walker looked out there. Locker was efficient going 3-5, but obviously didn't see a whole lot of time.
Fanspeak believes we'll finish 6-10. That's fine, again I think we are going to prove people wrong. Greg Cosell said on the Herd that Jake Locker may be the most improved QB this year. Where Jake goes, we go. Lets do this.
Quote of the Day: "Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." We're gonna miss you big guy.
