Tennessee Titans release Eugene Amano

Grant Halverson

The Amano era is officially over.

So that is over. The team broke the news on Twitter that Eugene Amano has been released. This is a sad day for Pinoy Titan, but he had to know that it was coming.

Amano was a pretty good guard but a terrible center. Unfortunately for him, he will only be remembered for how bad he was at center. Part of that is due to the fact that he got a ridiculous contract from Jeff Fisher and Mike Reinfeldt. He was never able to live up to that deal.

He is also about the last guy that the Titans found in the late rounds and Mike Munchak turned into a good player. They had quite the streak of those for a while.

Amano will get a look by some teams if he is healthy because he would be a good depth option for the right price.
