Quick shot: Is the next Albert Haynesworth one draft away?

Jim Rogash

Daniel McCullers is a senior DT at Tennessee and man does he look familiar.

Daniel McCullers goes by many names at UT. Some call him Mount McCullers because of his 6'8 frame. Others call him Big Dan because he weighed nearly 400 pounds when the season was over last year. I call him Albert Haynesworth 2.0.

The massive defensive tackle isn't just a space eater, he can move and destroy a pocket. For those who haven't seen it this is his film against Chance Warmack. Disclaimer: this is the only time I have EVER seen Warmack beaten this often.

How he fits with the Titans:

The Titans have few needs heading into the 2013 season, but they could definitely be looking at DT, QB, and FS if this season doesn't go as planned. McCullers is clearly the best 4-3 defensive tackle on my board and he will make an immediate impact wherever he goes.

McCullers has played both the one and the three-technique so he can earn a starting spot at either position, even if it means Sammie Lee Hill has to go back to being a top-end backup.

Why the Titans wouldn't draft him:

Stamina is a big issue for Haynesworth Jr. but if the new coaching staff in Tennessee can get him in shape than he could end up as a top-10 pick next year. With an improved OL and a shiny new defense the Titans hopefully won't have a chance to pick in the top-10 again next year.
