Quick Shot: Should Abraham's tweets concern TN?

Mixed messages on twitter seem to indicate that Abraham will retire if not this year, then very soon. Should the Titans be concerned.

To catch everyone up, these are the tweets sent out by John Abraham today indicating that he may retire soon.

However, recent reports including a tweet from Terry McCormick of TitansInsider.com say that Abraham's agent has said that he is not retiring.


The question now is how does this change the way the Titans look at the veteran pass rusher?

My answer? It doesn't.

Abraham is an older player and the Titans aren't looking for a stud, long-term solution at defensive end. The Titans are looking for a shot in the arm to the pass rush and if they are honest with themselves about what they need then Abraham should still be high on the Titans' radar.
