2013 Titans FA Breakdown: Week 12

Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

How did the Titans' Free Agent additions do this week against the Raiders in Oakland?

Ryan Fitzpatrick

(30/42 320 yards, 2 TDS)

Fitzpatrick rode his recent momentum in a great individual performance, made all the more impressive since his protection was extremely spotty and he was forced to escape the pocket multiple times. His accuracy has been a pleasant surprise of late, and his rapport with Walker, Wright, and Hunter is a source of strength for this team right now. His major mistake of the day came off the back of Brown's INT, where he missed Walker in the end-zone., throwing behind him where it was summarily broken up.

Delanie Walker

(5 catches, 46 yards)

Walker had a nice day against the Raiders, pulling in some nice grabs to continue his strong play. Not only did he make some good catches, his effort after the catch is unquestionable. My favorite play from him on the day was a quick screen near the end-zone on 3rd down which he secured and pushed for a what became first and goal. At this point, Walker leads the team in TD catches with 5.

Andy Levitre

Levitre struggled in this one. He had multiple holding calls to his discredit, and put the offense behind, especially in the first half. The Titans should have had a lead with how they were playing: out-pacing the Raiders on offense, stopping them on defense for the most part, and winning the turnover battle. Levitre wasn't the only one either; the entire line struggled badly. The Titans can count themselves lucky that Fitz was determined to ball out on his birthday. I expect much better from such a high priced addition.

Bernard Pollard

(3 tackles, 3 assists)

I decided to write about Pollard too, since I wanted at least one defensive player on here today. Pollard made some hard tackles, especially coming into the box to clean up in the running game. While the Titans may have "missed 0 tackles" per metrics, they certainly allowed themselves to get pushed around when the Raiders went to the run. Pollard didn't make any splash plays, but he also was a primary reason the Raiders backs were getting 5 yards and not 50.

Shonn Greene (4 rushes, 15 yards)

George Wilson (1 tackle)

Antonio Johnson (1 assist)

Ropati Pitoitua (2 assists)

Sammie Hill (3 assists)

Jackie Battle (NONE)

Rob Turner (IR)
