Ryan Fitzpatrick is not the long term starting QB for the Titans. Jake is. I don't think anyone reasonable would even question that. What I do believe is that Fitzpatrick can keep us in games, can lead us to victory. Now he's not the playmaker Jake is, but he's been good starter before, and should be able to be good for the monthish that we need from him. So stand behind Fitz, he's the QB of this team for the near future.
Munch was not a fan of the hits on Locker from Wilkerson and Coples. I didn't really think Coples did much but I did have a beef with the Wilkerson hit.
Further tests need to be done, but it is likely that Locker will miss at least 4 weeks. I wouldn't be shocked for him to come back early because thats the type of competitor he is.
We host the undefeated Chiefs this Sunday. Thus far the Chiefs really haven't played anyone very good, and the Titans should use this game to prove they are for real, that they can play with anyone, even without Jake. Getting this W would be huge as we have a couple brutal games in Seattle and then back home against San Francisco. I will be the game, traveling from St. Louis to see the game. I cannot stress how much I hope we win.
As I said before, Jake needs some more test to be for certain what the injury is and how long he'll be out.
Here's Munch's press conference transcript from yesterday.
Paul Kuharsky gives Locker his due in his piece on Sunday's game. Seriously more people need to see that Locker has been stellar this year. I had a Ram's fan ask me today if we would even miss Locker, and I told him he needed to check the stats because Locker has been a very very good QB this year.
ESPN debates whether the loss of Jake Locker or Vince Wilfork is more crippling to their teams.
