I am a Titan Fan first, an semi educated gambler second, and an emotional college kid 3rd. A year ago, I sat at a townie bar and watched an atrocious football team lose to an atrocious football team. A calendar year in advance, it strikes me as remarkable how many positive strides our Titans have made. The defense today gets a pass. Let's see how this defense responds to San Diego, Houston, and Detroit, before we decide whether to hang it or celebrate it.
It sounds absurd but there were 3 plays in that game that could have easily gone differently that leave our team right in the game.
1. PI first series. 2. Nate does not drop the ball that led right to Jake's fumble. 3. Hutch's holding penalty
Not saying the game is won by us, but all of the sudden, they have to make some plays in the second half.
That New England team is absurdly good.
We have a quarterback 3/5 of an Oline, WR, and a front 7 that we are generally happy about. A pass rusher would be fantastic, but let Morgan have his make or break year and address it down the road. I do have a couple of questions....
1. Why does Michael Griffin continue to make the same awful mistakes every year.
2. Why did we not add a center this year?
I wanted to rant a little bit, but my personal hope is that the team gets out of the first 4 games pretty healthy, and with 1 or 2 wins. If that is the case, I think this will be a fun year and more strides will be made.
Sorry that this is terribly organized.
Take Care
