1. I have cited him before but @incarceratedbob has broken a story on twitter about the NFL breaking a story about refs fixing games. Replacement refs that is. I have mentioned before I have experience with gambling, have dealt with members of the underworld in touch with higher ups, and am surprised it has taken this long for people to mention it. It is a huge elephant in the room, and I would not be surprised if multiple people are accused, and multiple people get away with it.
2. I read the comment section about the negative v. positive, and would like to contribute something. 1st, the whole staff does an amazing job. Much of my football knowledge is derived from the contributors of the staff, all of you bring different things, and I hope one day I am somewhere or someone in the world who can pay it forward or do something exceptional for the MCM community. There is an overwhelming sense of negativity, and a remarkable quick notion to abandon what has been built. The fact is that in a year and two weeks this coaching staff has done more than most thought possible. The only one I follow on twitter is Dan and I have noticed that he is particularly hot with the coach trigger and the kill the season idea. I disagree, but for a man who has done such a wonderful job for this site, please try and continue to provide insight and notes from your experience...we can all watch CJ get stuffed in the back field and take to twitter and complain.
3. If we ranked all the franchises in the league as in who would we switch with and who wouldnt we switch with...I think you would put the Titans about 15th. That is about 12 spots up from when Fisherball left. There is also immense room to grow. QB, CB, MLB, Playmaker at receivers, not a terrible cap spot.
4. Lastly, I want to speak to this idea of chemistry. Chemistry and disconnect, and nondescript adjectives are overused words in sports. In baseball chemistry, and hard work are barely relevant, the fact is that you have to beat the guy across from you. The Titans are going to get players healthy, one unit is going to step up, and the Titans are going to spend a quarter winning field position, and scoring 10 points...and taking a lead, and all of the sudden there will be harmony in the clubhouse. The players jobs are too vulnerable for them not to show effort or care. The bottom line is that when you get absolutely demolished, outplayed, and outdone, it appears to a viewer that you are numb. I live in NYC, Jet fans say dumb shit about play calling, about disconnect, Ryan loses the locker room, Mark Sanchez is not an accurate thrower.!.!. Which means you may not have a sustainable offense. No chemistry, nothing of the sort. Just think about it. These are my thoughts, would love to hear feedback as always. I am rushing and have homework so please excuse terrible writing.
