The safety battle is probably the most interesting thing left on the defensive side of the ball. Click through the jump to see three things to watch on defense tonight.

1. Backup Defensive Lineman - Casey, Douzable, and Marks are all not expected to play Thursday, so expect to see lots of rotation between guys like Klug and Clayton to get a lot of rotation, also Mike Martin returns to the field after tweaking a ankle last week.

2. Robert Johnson/Jordan Babineaux - Much has been made of Rojo becoming a starter in this defense, it's not suprising really Jerry Gray is in love with him. News came out earlier this week that Babineaux would be the "slot safety" whatever that means.

I'm personally not sold on Rojo, that could change quickly with solid play and an interception or a hard hit that causes a fumble.

3. Colin McCarthy - This guy is going to be special. Week after week he has made plays, including consistently doing the same during camp. He should dominate New Orleans scrub offense, look for him to have a short night....They really cannot risk injury to the best player on defense.
