Mike Munchak announced after practice today that Jake Locker will start for the Tennessee Titans against the Buccaneers on Friday night. This really isn't a surprise. Munchak has said all along that we have a quarterback battle, and they have been splitting the first team reps 50/50 throughout camp. It would make since that they would split the starts in the first two games.
There are all kinds of reports out there that the organization wants Locker to win the job. That is absolutely true, and he can take a huge step in that direction if he can show them that he can handle this start.
Locker showed good chemistry with Kendall Wright on Saturday night. Watching those two develop together is going to be a very exciting thing for Titans' fans.
This is sure to be a topic of conversation on MCM Radio tonight. Danomite will join us again to talk about everything that went down in practice today.
