While I am hoping that Jake Locker wins the quarterback job in camp this year, it is impossible not to root for Matt Hasselbeck. He is a professional in every sense of the word. He talked to the media yesterday after Mike Munchak got done, and he said he took it easier than last season leading up to training camp. Here is part of what he had to say according to John Glennon:
"I’ve got some neighbors in Washington that do a homemade triathlon every year and I passed on that, skipped out on that," he said. "There was no wake-boarding or any of that kind of stuff. I played it more safe."I would be really interested to know more about that homemade triathlon.
There is no doubt that Hasselbeck will be ready for camp, but as we have said before, it is more about how Jake Locker performs. They know what they have in Hasselbeck. All they need to know now is if Locker is ready.
