The Tulsa World has reported that Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver, Justin Blackmon, was arrested for aggravated DUI at 3 AM. Under Oklahoma law, a driver's blood alcohol level must be .15 or higher to be charged with aggravated DUI, according to ESPN.com.
You know what your mom always said, nothing good happens after midnight. This is Blackmon's second DUI arrest. The first one came back in 2010 while he was playing at Oklahoma State.
It is beyond me why NFL players, or anyone for that matter but especially guys with some much money and so much to lose, ever get behind the wheel of a car when they have been drinking. Use all of that money you are getting to pay someone who hasn't been drinking to take you home. It just is not worth the risk.
Blackmon is a guy that had some character concerns surrounding him, but that did not stop the Jaguars from moving up to get him in April's draft. Even though the Jaguars are a division rival, you hate to see a guy as young as Blackmon making such stupid decisions. My hope is that if he is going to be a bust, it will be because of his play on the field- not because he is making stupid decisions off the field.
