The Titans spent the offseason bringing in every center in the free world with a pulse, yet we are still looking at the prospect of Eugene Amano being the center when the season opens. It appears the one person who has the best chance to beat him out would be Fernando Velasco. I covered him in the guards portion of this series.

Contract: Entering the 3rd year of the ridiculous 5-year $26 million contract he signed in 2010
Amano was a good guard but is a really bad at center. He will be fighting for his life in camp.
Contract: Entering the last year of his contract
Matthews is the sentimental favorite to knock off Amano because of his bloodlines, but he has yet to show that he can be an NFL center.
Age: 25 (turns 26 in October)
Contract: I have not seen the terms of his contract
I will be really surprised if Cooper makes this roster. He looks like nothing more than a camp body.
Contract: Signed as an undrafted free agent
I am a huge Vlachos fan obviously. I know he doesn't have the measurables to be an NFL center, but he was the anchor of an Alabama rushing attack that was pretty dang good. That counts for something.
