Get ready for a shocking statement: the guards were not the strength of the Titans in 2011. The good news is that Jake Scott is not longer with the team, and Steve Hutchinson was added to take his spot. The bad news is that Leroy Harris is still starting at the other spot.

Age: 34 (turns 35 in November)
Contract: Signed a 3-year $16 million contract
Hutchinson is a really good player who has been in the league a long time. He will make the interior of this line better physically and mentally.
Contract: Entering the last year of the 2-year deal he signed last offseason
This is a big year for Harris. He has looked promising at times, and he has looked awful at times. His future in the league could very well be determined by how he looks this season.
Contract: Also entering the last year of his contract
We cried and cried for Velasco last season, but the coaches never put him out there with the starting five healthy. There has to be a reason for that.
Age: 26 (turns 27 in November)
Contract: Working on a perennial one-year deal
Durand is another project the front office gave Mike Munchak that has yet to show any results. Unfortunately, there were quite a few of these in the last few years.
