Ben Roethlisberger got a degree, and Peter King got on his high horse (h/t Champcc1):
Roethlisberger got his Bachelor of Science in Education eight years after leaving campus for the NFL. What's not good is the petty attacks Roethlisberger took when I threw out kudos Saturday on Twitter. Those are the people who refuse to believe a person can change and grow, and who revel in keeping their opinions static. Roethlisberger, these people are certain, has abused women and thus will always be an abuser, and he can never move forward in his life.
Look, Peter, maybe it isn't about how much Ben has allegedly changed. Maybe it is the fact that if he wasn't an NFL quarterback he would be in jail right now. I would doubt that his victims care too much about how much he has grown as a person.
The Predators will be playing for their lives later tonight. Be sure to check out smash's favorite SB Nation blog, On the Forecheck. I am sure they will be on pins and needles over there tonight.
Ben Roethlisberger got a degree, and Former Vanderbilt and current Ohio State chancellor Gordon Gee be travelin. The thing that I always think of when Gee is brought up is his comment about hoping that Jim Tressel wouldn't fire him...that and his wife smoking weed on the Vandy campus.
