2012 Titans Draft Picks: Taylor Thompson Approval Poll

This was another pick that took quite a few people by surprise, including me. When the pick was first announced, I could not find Taylor Thompson in my draft guide. After digging for a while, it became obvious that he was a defensive end in college who was making a position change in the NFL.

This of course piqued my interest. It turns out that he was quite impressive at an all-star game. That is the good news. The bad news is that it was against people who will not be playing in the NFL.

After reading a handful of articles on Thompson, I like the pick. It would not have been a good move to make in an earlier round, but with his upside, it is a good use of a 5th round pick. The Titans did give up a pick to move up and get Thompson. That could be a factor in how you vote, or not.
