I just wanted to stop and say "thank you" to all of the people who read this site who have served in our armed forces, and I know we have a lot of them. As ltknick said the other day, this holiday is about so much more than cookouts, but sometimes we forget that. It is about remembering all of those who have given their lives so that we can be free to do the things we do every single day.
With that in mind, it is obvious that a simple "thank you" is not enough, but it is a good place to start. So take a minute today to stop and think about the sacrifice that so many great men and women have made for us. We tend to put football players and others up on pedestals, but these men and women and their families are the ones that truly deserve our admiration.
Happy Memorial Day!
