The team did not immediately confirm the move, but Douzable wrote on his Twitter account, “I want to thank all my fans for being patient through this free agency process, this fall I will be playing in Tennessee.” His agent Darren Heitner also confirmed the signing.
The 6-foot-4, 284-pound, 25-year-old Douzable spent his past two seasons with the Jaguars and had a productive 2011. According to Jaguars’ statistics, he posted 61 tackles, one sack, seven tackles for loss and 12 quarterback pressures in 16 games, including six starts.
Titans defensive coordinator Jerry Gray likes versatile linemen, and Douzable is just that. He played end and tackle last season.
