Mike Mayock, one of the best NFL Draft analysts there is, held a conference call today. He was asked a million questions, but one that really pertains to the Tennessee Titans was about Dre Kirkpatrick. Here is what Mayock had to say about him:

From Alabama, like most Alabama kids, he's got a strong football IQ. He's physical and he tackles and he can play zone. He's instinctive and he's tough. Now, having said all those things, the downside is that he only runs in the 4.5 range and he has off-the-field issues. I have him as my third corner in this draft and as a potential first round pick and as somebody that would make sense for what Detroit does.

It is hard to read where he will be taken in the draft, but I think there is a pretty good chance he will still be on the board when the Titans pick. They really don't really put their corners on an island very much, so it seems like Kirkpatrick would be a good fit in their system.
