I was trying to figure out how much we realistically have to spend on free agents signings and to do that i first had to find out how much we spend on rookie contracts. I found that last year we spent approx 8.8 million on rookie signings and since i have to assume the numbers i got from the interwebs are not correct i will round that number to 10 mil.
So out of the 30 million in cap space 10 million will be going to rookie signings and 6 million to Griffin. That still leaves us with 14 million in cap space to resign babineaux, and get one (maybe two) bigger name free agents. I'm not talking about Mario Williams big but maybe Robert Mathis.
Update: I found another site yesterday evening that said we have 37million in cap space left at the moment. That would leave us with 21 million after rookies and griffin. That is definitely enough to get a couple of big name contracts.
