Don Banks 2012 NFL Mock Draft: Titans and Stephon Gilmore

Stay connected for news and updates

Don Banks of SI.com put out a new mock draft yesterday, and he has the Titans taking Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina with the 20th pick. This seems like a much more likely pick than Janoris Jenkins. Gilmore might not have the upside of Jenkins, but he also doesn't have the off the field concerns.

Here is what Banks had to say about the pick:

The Titans are hopeful the free agent signing of ex-Raiders outside linebacker Kamerion Wimbley, who will play a 4-3 end slot in Tennessee, addresses some of their pass rush deficiences. While another pass rusher like USC defensive end Nick Perry is a possibility, as is Michigan State defensive tackle Jerel Worthy, Gilmore is a big and aggressive cornerback who excels in press coverage and would help offset the loss of Cortland Finnegan via free agency.

It is interesting that he has the Titans taking Gilmore with Dre Kirkpatrick and Jenkins still on the board.
