Titans Lose Out On Best Free Agent Centers Chris Myers and Scott Wells

Well, this sucks. The two free agents the Titans met with, and were close to signing by multiple accounts, in an effort to rid our offensive line of the scourge that is Eugene Amano, just got snatched up. Scott Wells, who played high school ball in Nashville and matriculated at UT, signed with Jeff effin' Fisher's Rams. A few hours later, news broke that Chris Myers had resigned with the Texans.

Now, barring a surprise FA or an early draft pick, we're probably stuck with Amano for another season.

Like I said, this sucks. At least we've still upgraded one guard spot, but I'm hoping there's some internal push to give Kevin Matthews a legitimate shot to win that position in camp, because there's no reason Amano's job should be considered safe. I'm fine with him hanging on as a guard, but he's been consistently weak ever since he took over the center position. Time won't change that.
