John Clayton is reporting on Twitter that the Tennessee Titans have agreed to terms with offensive guard Steve Hutchinson on a 3-year deal. This could be just and upgrade to the offensive line, or it could be a huge recruitment tool in the effort to get Peyton Manning. It is too early to tell.
The good news here is that this means Jake Scott will officially not be back with this team. It was already pretty much a foregone conclusion that he would be playing elsewhere next year, but this assures it.
Now it will be interesting to see if they still pursue one of the centers that they have had in the last couple of days. Adding a center would enable them to move Eugene Amano back to guard where he is clearly a better player. They would then probably keep Leroy Harris as depth because they are currently hurting for depth there.
