2012 NFL Free Agency: Steve Hutchinson To Visit the Titans

Stay connected for news and updates

Adam Schefter is reporting this morning that the Tennessee Titans will bring in former All-Pro guard Steve Hutchinson. They can meet with Hutchinson before the official start of free agency today because he was released last week by the Minnesota Vikings. Hutchinson is an 11-year veteran and has some familiarity with this front office because he was with the Seattle Seahawks from 2001-2005.

Hutchinson was an All-Pro as recently as 2009. It would seem that he would be an immediate upgrade over Jake Scott. While he is not as young or probably as talented at this point in his career as Carl Nicks or Ben Grubbs, he is a guy who be able to provide some leadership on that offensive line. He also will not cost as much as Nicks or Grubbs because he is a little bit older than those guys.

And so begins a day that promises to provide a lot of interesting news. Stay tuned.
