Super Bowl XLVI Prediction Thread
So the Super Bowl is tomorrow night. I really don't get that excited about the Super Bowl unless I have some type of rooting interest, and I don't really have one this year. I don't really care for either one of the teams that will be playing tomorrow night. The only thing that I really hope for tomorrow night is that we get to see a good game.
As soon as the Giants beat the 49ers two weeks ago, I was convinced that they would win the Super Bowl, but as the two weeks have passed, I have started to lean towards the Patriots. The Giants are playing better than anyone else in the league right now, but Bill Belichick and Tom Brady have been listening to everyone pick the Giants all week. It is a dangerous thing to count the two of them out in a game like this.
There is no doubt the Patriots are going to have to score a lot of points because their defense isn't going to be able to slow the Giants down, but that shouldn't be a problem. Everyone keeps talking about the Giants pass rush causing problems for the Patriots, but they only sacked Brady once when they played in the regular season. The Patriots can slow that rush down with their short passing game.
I am taking the Patriots to win 31-28. Leave your prediction in the comments and vote in the poll.

I agree with Jommy
I want the Pats to win. My friend is a Giants fan. He deserves to take an arrow to the knee by his team losing

That's the only way I'd be okay with them winning....
….wait….nope. I still can’t stand to see them win.

Take hal’s advice…go with the Giants.

Pats
I think they will have learnt from the first encounter and will probably win by the same margin they lost by (4). They gave up two sacks last time, and I don’t see them giving up any more than that again
I watch the Music City Miracle every time I visit MCM just because I can
Jimmy's playoff record was abysmal.
That being said I’ll flip his score and take the Giants 31-28

Well I want the Giants to win, but my number for a football pool are 4 for Pats and 1 for the Giants.
So I need a half time score of Giants 21 Pats 14 to win $1000
and the final to be Giants 31 Pats 24 or Pats 34 Giants 31 to win $1500.
I wont be happy if the Pats win unless I win in the pool.

its a 100 squares, and each square was $25. so the total pool was $2500.
Guys at work does this every year, and then during the regular season he does just the Bears game with 25 squares at $5 a square and you get 2 numbers for both teams. Its very popular and very easy to set up.

Yeah I've done that one
Good fun, though mine is usually a dollar a square.

I'm still going with the Giants, but the more they talked this week the more I thought the Patriots would beat them.

468 to 12, Giants
And on the rare chance that isn’t the score, I say 24-20 Giants.

I feel like the Titans direction will be a little more predictable once free agency shakes out.
I’d love to see us plug a big hole or two with a free agent signing, and narrow down our first round needs a bit.
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

Without Gronkowski, the Pats margin for error on offense are about as minuscule as Chris Johnson's running lanes.

remember that guy named Hernandez?
Oh ya that’s just the patriots other freak of nature tight end. Don’t forget Wes Welker. And they can probably still get something out of ochocinco. Hasn’t branch shown up in big games? Ya I think he has.

giants are a popular pick based on momentum
But they’ve had an entire week off. The patriots, as much as I hate them, will probably be more ready.
