Tennessee Titans Daily Links: Hitting The Snooze Button On 'The Liberian Dream' Edition
Yesterday news came in that Myron Rolle signed with the Steelers, and now former-Titans LB Rennie Curran has signed a futures-reserve contract with Tampa Bay.
John Glennon thinks there's too much risk and too much money involved in bringing Peyton Manning to the Titans. I think the issue has more to do with not enough properly functioning nerve endings.
Todd McShay unveils his new mock draft, and he has the Titans taking USC DE Nick Perry.
Ruston Webster talked at a luncheon at local Lipscomb University, where he discussed getting the Titans back to being the team he feared during his years in Tampa.
Jim Wyatt ran into Jeff Fisher on Media Row at the Super Bowl, and the two chatted about his time with the Titans and his new job with the Rams.
Here's Jim Wyatt's latest Super Bowl postcard.
Could Quinton Coples be the fix for our pass rush woes?
SI's Paul Daughtrey tells the story of Chase Blackburn, who went from unsigned and sitting on his couch on November 28th to suiting up for the Super Bowl on Sunday.
Wes Bunting gives his three up and three down from this week's practices for tomorrow's Players All-Star Classic... which has no real stars and isn't a classic.

Really?! I hadn't heard that news yet. That's cool.

Yeah, there are 15 TNF games next year. 13 on NFLN and then the opener and Thanksgiving game on NBC.
Goodell said today that the new games means everyone will get at least 1 primetime game

17 weeks = 17 Mondays.....?
There are 32 teams with 17 weeks….the #s are annoying…
by titanwarrior1 on Feb 3, 2012 2:07 PM CST up reply actions
There are only 16 Mondays, but the first MNF is a doubleheader.
by NoMoreMustache on Feb 3, 2012 2:09 PM CST up reply actions
which is still 17 Monday Night Football games, which the odds are aggravating...
by titanwarrior1 on Feb 3, 2012 2:09 PM CST up reply actions
Meh, MNF is overrated. It's not the marquee game anymore at all. SNF is.
by NoMoreMustache on Feb 3, 2012 2:10 PM CST up reply actions
SNF is for NCAA. TNF it is...
maybe TEN can get at least 3 primetime games to make up for last year’s drought
by titanwarrior1 on Feb 3, 2012 2:11 PM CST up reply actions
So 34 teams will play in those 17 Monday games
Seems pretty simple to me.

I love the fact each team gets a primetime game.
And that they’re not mainly being given to NYG/NYJ/Steelers/Pats/GB and so on.

WE lost Curran...oh well...2012 NEW Defense!

This is why we don’t draft a WR/G/C first round. What if Barron or another DE drops to #52. How sweet would it be for the first 2 picks to be both Defensive pics…
Ingram, aye?
I’d be all right with him… I think. AND BARRON! Damn… We’d rock that draft….

We "lost" Curran before 2011 season when he was released
not sure how that matters now

That would be cool
If you live in fantasy land, and you like drafting new QBs every 5 years because you can’t protect them and or: score any points. Long story short: Barron isn’t falling barring doing something incredibly stupid and Ingram won’t be there when we pick in the 2nd.

Why would you want Mike Griff gone?
And keep babineaux! Makes no since at all! Secondary would be unstoppable with a better SS and keeping Griffin! People these days!
by datboybevans on Feb 4, 2012 12:31 PM CST up reply actions
Because Griffin has been mediocre for a few years?
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

No actually....
He was Pro Bowl and was a high caliber player until Hope started Fing up his coverage! It will be a huge set back to not resign Griffin! He is finally over is family issues and only needs a reliable partner beside him in the SS position! How can you say he’s playing mediocre if he’s always around the ball? And he’s always right behind Ed Reed for the pro bowl slot?
Pile of dumb in that Webster story:
Okay, how about keeping the good veterans you have on the team, you are able to sign both Johnson and Finnegan to future contracts without going over the salary cap. The Titans as of right now sit about $30 million UNDER the NFL cap. Fine, if you would like to draft some new blood, but please for the franchise’s sake, re-sign the guys that are keeping the team afloat.
Umm, Johnson is already under contract. Finnegan, sure I’d like to sign him. But no mention that almost HALF THE DAMN team is not under contract… derp

The Steeler fans on the PFT forum didn’t like it when I wrote…
… that the signing of Rolle doubled the collective IQ of the entire Syeeler Nation.
I guess the truth really does hurt…
.
I had to stop arguing with drunks, Steeler fans, and all other fools.
It was making my brick wall jealous...
