Yesterday it was announced that Jim Schwartz had hired Marcus Robertson to be a secondary coach with the Detroit Lions. I had figured Robertson would end up back with Jeff Fisher. Well today we learned why because Jeff Fisher has hired Chuck Cecil to be his defensive backs coach according to John Glennon.
Cecil was a terrible defensive coordinator. There is no doubt about that, but he was a pretty good defensive backs coach. There is no reason to think that he won't be good with the Rams.
I am really interested to see how quickly the Rams defense gets turned around. Their staff now looks very similar to staffs here when the Titans had dominating defenses. Of course Jevon Kearse and Albert Haynesworth aren't walking through that door (I guess they could sign Fat Albert).

I think this is a good hire.
Defensive Coordinator just seems to be Cecil’s point of incompetence.

I appreciate reading about these hirings
It prevents me from going over to the Rams page.
Also, what else are we going to talk about here? It’s the offseason. Former Titans are still relevant. Hell, Fisher’s first offseason… AND hiring former Titans coaches sounds just fine to fill the dead air.

It is easier to be buried on the front page than in the fanpost.
Havent you noticed that my Mock gets a front page but by mid morning is buried under 3 or 4 other front page post. Give it time and it will disappear.
