Jake Locker confronted Antonio Smith about his dirty hit on Fernando Velasco after the game.
Most of you have probably already seen this because the Titans are Greater than the Greek gods posted it in the Jim Washburn thread, but Jake Locker confronted Antonio Smith about his illegal hit on Fernando Velasco after the game yesterday. Here is what Smith had to say about it via Ultimate Texans:
"The little young whippersnapper tried to come and tell an old cat how to play football," Smith said. "He just came up to me. He faked like he was gonna dap me up. And like grabbed my hand and said, ‘I just want to tell you that was a (dirty) block.’ I just told him … are we playing football, or is this something else?"
Smith was flagged for the play because it is illegal, but apparently that doesn't matter to him because he was "playing football."
Unless the quarterback is Vince Young, you will always see offensive lineman taking up for him when they see something they think it is dirty. It is really good to see Locker make that a two way street.
