First of all I have been following this site for years. I have enjoyed following my team through this site. Now we are on the verge of a huge change in Titanville and I felt I should join in on the speculation. So here is my bold prediction to what Bud will do. Front Office: I feel Mike Reinfeldt and Ruston Weber keep their jobs. I also feel Mike will pull a rabbit out of his hat for the coaching change to further save his job on down the road. While I feel less than stellar about some of our drafts overall they have not been bad just mediocre with an upside. So with that they all stay. Head Coach: Mike Holmgren.I think Mike Munchak will stay with the Titans just not as HC. (Rabbit) I feel Mike R. will give his good buddy Mike Holmgren a call and beg a plead to right the ship. Mike Munchak will be demoted to assistant HC to learn from the veteran. Holmgren is 64 so I don't see him staying long term probably 3 year deal at the longest. Munchak stays on to learn and possibly regain his job. This makes sense to me because the organization seems to stay close to what and who they know. Outside the box is not something Mike R. is capable of in my opinion. Offensive Coordinator: Pat Shurmur. It's no question the love Holmgren has for Shurmur. I feel he would be a good fit for Locker. Shurmur was quarterbacks coach of the Eagles when McNabb was there which is similar skill set to Locker. Shurmur has experience with rookie QB's, he was in St Louis when Bradford was drafted. Also, Shurmur has been tight ends coach which might help Cook gain some consistency and bring along Thompson. Defensive Coordinator: Dick Jauron. Holmgren will want to bring in people he knows just like Mike R. Dick Jauron has previous HC experience and is well known for his defenses. Jauron also likes to run an aggressive 4-3 scheme which we already have in place except the aggressive part. He also is experienced as a DB coach so he could get better play out of our safeties or just better evaluate them to replace. Player changes: I don't see a big splash in FA. I would think we look at Dwayne Bowe and letting Britt walk. Bowe can make circus catches better than most but misses anything in the numbers. With the accuracy problems that Locker has this makes perfect sense. I doubt we get him. Matt McCoy would be a replacement for Hasslebeck. Same skillset with raw talent just like Locker. Locker is bounds ahead of McCoy but in competition McCoy would make things interesting. I see us bringing in a lot of offensive linemen and defensive linemen just to window shop, but don't see any big signings. Position coaches will change because Holmgren will want his people. Also, if Holmgren comes in he will have say on everything from the coaches, players, and draft. If this happens we have 3 capable replacements when Holmgren decides mai tais on the beach is his next venture. In my opinion, this just makes sense. I don't see us going for new age schemes with a Chip Kelly and no other coach being let go has the ties to our organization like Holmgren does. The only other option is Munchak stay HC and Holmgren comes in as an advisor over him. Well there is my first post, tell me what you think.
