Lande has the Titans selecting Chance Warmack with the tenth pick in the 2013 draft.
Russ Lande, who is a really informed draft scout, has joined the folks over at National Football Post. It seems that he has replaced friend of the site Wes Bunting over there, which is sad.
Anyway, Lande has put out a mock draft today, and he has the Titans taking Chance Warmack, OG, Alabama with the 10th pick. It does without saying that I approve of this pick, but it really does make sense for the Titans. Warmack is a mauler inside that would be an immediate upgrade for the interior of this offensive line.
Here is what Lande had to say about the pick:
Tennessee’s interior offensive line has not played at the level necessary to win, so adding the best guard in the draft makes perfect sense for them.
The only small beef that I have with this pick is that I would really like to see the Titans take Manti Te'o if he is still on the board. I know the Titans have Colin McCarthy, but they really cannot count on him being healthy for 16 games as the middle linebacker. They could use McCarthy as a situational guy and have Te'o in there every down.
That being said, you couldn't get mad if Warmack is the way they go.
