Todd McShay has the Titans taking a pass rusher his first mock of the 2013 draft season.
In news that is sure to make Trevor very excited, Todd McShay has put out his first 2013 NFL mock draft (In$ider), and he has the Titans taking Barkevious Mingo, DE, LSU. This is going to be a very popular pairing between now and next April. The Titans need a lot of help, but there is no doubt that a pass rushing end is near the top of the list.
Here is what McShay had to say about the pick:
Tennessee ranks 26th in the NFL in pass defense and 20th in sacks with 27. Kamerion Wimbley has five sacks, but he will be 30 next season and the Titans need a younger, better version of Wimbley to start on the right side opposite Derrick Morgan. While Mingo isn't a finished product, he has the quick first step, speed and range to chase down quarterbacks.
I don't agree with everything McShay had there. The main point should be that they need a dynamic guy to add into the mix of Wimbley and Morgan who have played well but aren't dynamic.
