Tennessee Titans Daily Links: So Spaketh Yee Of Jake the Locker Edition

Mike Ehrmann

All the Titans news that's fit to link.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Mike Munchak went on Mike & Mike in the Morning earlier today to heap praise upon the mantle of Jake the Locker. And it was good.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 There's only one way to squeeze in to that final playoff spot: a steady, crushing load of #LWSS.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Kenny Britt's production is well below his career average, though I'd contend it's pretty in line with most guys who are recovering from the twin knee issues he has had. Still, the Titans are using the bye week to evaluate different ways to use Kenny, with the hopes of getting his 11.6 YPC up around the 17.0 YPC or so he's used to.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 While Kenny tries to heal from old knee injuries, Colin McCarthy will be spending the week off getting some much-needed rest for his gimpy ankle. He'll join Al Afalava, Xavier Adibi and Byron Stingily as players who stay near BSP to get rehab treatments.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 FO gave as about as good of a review as you'll see about a Titans QB to Jake Locker for this week, but real great part to see is Chris Johnson coming in third in the RB rankings. FO's qualitative matrics have never been kind to CJ, so it's a testament to how consistent he's become that even they are giving the man some run lately.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 I've given PFF a lot of grief over their O-line metrics, but I'll actually agree that for the last half of the season at least, we've had a top 10 offensive line. Also, I agree with them that Velasco has been a revelation at the center position, which only angers me more when I think about how we had to watch Amano plat all last season...

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Speaking of changes along the O-line for the better, PFF also gets it right in tabbing Steve Hutchinson for this week's all PFF team for Week 10. Also, a polite tip of the hat to Big Kick Rob Bironas for the same honor. Then again, they also picked a complete douchecanoe for one of their CB spots...

Tennessee_titans_30x21 The Titans' pass defense was clicking on all levels last Sunday, and one of the guys who really excited me was Coty Sensabaugh. The scrappy Kingston, TN native got his first serious run in the nickel back spot, and played extremely well for a 4th round rookie. Hopefully he can keep up that kind of play so we won't have to see anymore of Ryan Mouton's increasingly declining play.

Tennessee_titans_30x21 Congrats to NFLN for bringing back one of the three women (h/t to Suzy Kolber and Lesley Visser) in the world who can capably co-host an NFL-related show, rather than just float by on their looks.
