Unfortunately we are looking increasingly like a top 10, probably top 5 pick in April, for my past posts you can check here:
First guy to look at is Jawan Jamison. He's a running back/ KR from Rutgers, he's only 5'8" but 200 lbs. He has been clocked as low as 4.42 in his 40. He is one of only 2 RBs in the FBS to rush for 100 yards or more every game this year along with J. Randle from Oklahoma State. Jamison can catch the ball out of the back field and might be a really nice late round pickup. The 20th ranked Scarlet Knights play Syracuse on Saturday at 12:00 ET on ESPN 3. Here's a short clip from one of his runs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w09Q8VyCJIc
The next guy is Desmond Trufant, CB, from Washington. He's 6'0" and 186, so he's quite lean, but he's got football blood, as his brothers both played in the NFL, and has some good ball hawking abilities. He's a fast guy and was clocked with a 4.49 40 time. He has good cover skills and is an integral part of the Huskies Defense. He had a INT against Stanford a couple weeks ago to ice the game, and pull the upset. The Huskies play USC this week and look to pull of the upset at 7 pm Eastern on Saturday on FOX.
Eric Reid, Safety from LSU is next. At 6'2", 212 lbs, he's got good size for a safety. He hits hard, has good ball skills, and can help in the run game. Although he lacks elite athleticism, he is the cream of the crop in this years safety class. He has great instincts and is in on every play. The anti-Michael Griffin. LSU plays South Carolina, at 8 ET on ESPN on Saturday. All of Reid's abilities should be on display. Check out this INT from last year ==> Right Here. Sorry Jommy.
Last two guys are from Jommy's Alabama. They are Barrett Jones and Chance Warmack. Warmack plays guard, and Jones can play anywhere on the offensive line. Seriously anywhere on the line. Warmack is 6'2" and 325 lbs. He is the best guard in this class far and away. He's better than DeCastro was a year ago. Some have graded him as the best guard since Hutchinson. Jones is a leader. He is 6'4" and 305 lbs. He can run block and pass protect as can Warmack. Both of these guys are do it all type of lineman and should be off the board in mid-to-late first round. Watch Bama at 3:30 ET on CBS on Saturday as they take on the Tigers from Missourah. Should be a rout, with plenty of time for these two to show off.
