In what should come as a surprise to no one, Jim Wyatt has tweeted that Matt Hasselbeck will start at quarterback for the Tennessee Titans against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This, of course, is not good news, but it was pretty obvious after listening to Mike Munchak last Monday that it was going to take Jake Locker a couple of weeks to be healthy enough to start. Munch said there is a chance that Locker will be ready to play against the Bills the following Sunday.
This is obviously not good news after what we saw yesterday. I was foolish enough to believe that Hasselbeck would look like a competent quarterback after having the whole week knowing he was the starter. Of course that is not the first thing that I have been foolish enough to believe about this team this season.
Munchak also said that he is not planning on making any changes to the starting lineup. At first that might make you mad, but then you realize that it isn't like the Titans have any better options.
