2012 NFL Mock Draft: The Titans and Who?
Russ Lande of the Sporting News has put out a mock draft, and he has the Titans taking Juron Criner, WR, Arizona. If you are like me, your first reaction is, "Who?" Here is what Lande had to say about Criner:
Kenny Britt had major knee surgery in September, and the Titans want to shore up the position. They choose the underrated Criner, who can make an immediate impact as a big-play wideout.
I do understand that at 6-4, 215 he fits the bill of what the Titans need, but I would be willing to be that they could get him in the 2nd round.
Wes Bunting, who is one of the best draft experts out there, has a whole post about why he doesn't think that Criner can be a big-time NFL receiver.
I am all about them loading up at receiver before next season, but they should probably spend their first pick on a guy who is a little more of a sure thing.

Criner was a bad ass at U of A
but he is def. someone we could grab in the second round, maybe even early third. Unless he has a great combine, I don’t see him jumping up to the first round.

wow
if we could get criner in the second round that would be awesome

Would we be looking at second round WR though?
Even with our needs at OL/DE/S?

This is a ridiculous pick.
This guy’s really stepping out on a ledge here, because I haven’t seen a single report that has him listed as a first round talent.

Anybody watch the godaddy bowl last night?
we we wanted to get a WR in the 2nd or 3rd round i think NIU’s Martel Moore would be a good pickup. NIU played a no huddle the whole season.

What do you know about him (I know nothing)?
My current 2nd/3rd round WRs of choice would be Reuben Randle, Dwight Jones, Nick Toon, and my current favourite, Marvin McNutt.

Not much, more of a home town pick. NIU is 40 min away.

never mind, says he cant enter the draft till 2013, and he is also the #90 rated WR of 292 WRs.

Wouldn't mind the Titans burning a later pick but not a 1st
WR should be pretty far down on our need list. I just can’t see this guys talent overcoming a positional need. I definitely wouldn’t give up on Britt this early, he will have a lot of time to heal and may come back just fine. I am thinking OLB, DE, or OL. Probably will be a DE in the first though. It would be interesting to see if Richardson does fall to the 20th pick, can’t wait to watch him tonight!

if the right talent is there..
take a WR in the 1st. It’s an offensive, pass oriented league now. Look at the Pats, Pack, and Saints. Those teams don’t have dominating defenses. They do have loads of talent on offense. But, it has to be the right guy, and I don’t think Criner is it.

No, that guy is as stiff as justin gage
he looks to be a great possesion wr, but not 1st or 2nd round pick worthy imo

CBS Sportsline
ranks Criner as the #36 WR, #326 overall. Even if they’re way, way, off, he or someone with just as much potential, will be available in the fourth, fifth or sixth. This would be a “sell the PSL” kind of pick. Don’t see it happening.
#36 wr, and if they go in that order he'll be there
in the 6th, 7th, or udfa
