Bud Adams has been named a finalist for the NFL's inaugural Salute to Service Award for his contributions to the United States Military. Among other gestures, Adams has hosted over 11,000 Fort Campbell soldiers at Titans games since the franchise arrived in 1997. Ravens coach John Harbaugh is the other finalist for the award.
Jim Wyatt checks in from Indianapolis, where Peyton Manning is still the talk of the town despite the arrival of the teams actually playing in the Super Bowl.

I met Bud Adams years ago...
It was after a Monday Night game against Jacksonville and the Titans won. I was really drunk and I professed my love for the Titans to Mr. Adams. He was actually very cordial and seemed amused by my obnoxious drunkenness. Fun times!!!
