MCM Postseason Awards: NFL Offensive Player of the Year
Today we continue our tour through the postseason awards with offensive player of the year. You have to throw Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees back in the mix for this one, obviously. You already know the eye-popping numbers they put up this season.
Believe it or not, Tom Brady quietly put up unbelievable numbers this season. I didn't know Brady could ever have a quiet season, but he did this year with 5,235 yards and 39 touchdowns. He should get some consideration for this award.
You also have to throw Matthew Stafford in the mix here. He was finally able to stay healthy for the whole season and threw for 5,038 yards and 41 touchdowns. The knock against him is that he also threw 16 picks.
I figured we should at least put one player in there who isn't a quarterback. That guy is Calvin Johnson. He had 1,681 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns. Those are crazy numbers.
Vote below.

Mr. Calvin Johnson
For contributing to 2 fantasy football championship teams of mine this year. Yes, I’m biased.
"Do the Titans have a miracle left in them in what has been a magical season to this point? If they do, they need it now. Christie kicks it high and short. Gonna be fielded by Lorenzo Neal at the 25; he dishes it back to Wycheck; he throws it across the field to Dyson. 30, 40, 50, 40, 30, 20, 10, 5, endzone...touchdown, Titans! There are no flags on the field! It's a miracle! Tennessee has pulled a miracle! A miracle for the Titans!"

There´s no survey, Jimmy.
"He's an amazing talent. He's probably the most explosive back since Marshall Faulk and Barry Sanders." - Eddie George, about CJ.
never mind, got it.

I´d vote for Johnson.
Also think Gronkowski should be at least mentioned.

Rob Gronkowski definelty deserves mention, he had the best year ever by a tight end. and he made plays after the catch so you cant say it was just brady

You apparently aren't interested in commenting on the Colts, but instead just want to take shots at editors for how we manage our blog. Thus, you're now no longer welcome.

There were a number of amazing qbs this year. But just one Megatron. And that is why this vote had 4 QBs and 1 WR and that explains why the WR should win.
